Immortal Empires is but a few short weeks away for Total War: Warhammer 3. And today we’re taking a closer look at the biggest campaign map Creative Assembly has put together yet.
From Oxyotl, Bane of the Dark Gods, to the vampire-cursed lands of the Karsteins, to the Great Bastion of Cathay. There are friends and foes everywhere you turn. The map is set, the pieces are in place.
Total War: Warhammer 3 – Immortal Empires Map Preview
It’s here friends. The campaign map for Immortal Empires. And it is massive. There are 533 regions all in all. The entire world is your playground. From the northern reaches to the southern jungles, with everything in between.
And there are almost as many factions as there are regions. You’ll find your favorite faction for sure, and then some. There are 278 starting factions. This includes major players like Malekith or Teclis, but then minor factions and randos who will take your campaign by storm.
Leading each of these factions are 86 different Legendary Lords, each with their own goals and ambitions. Every faction from Warhammer Fantasy is represented here, There are 23 different races. And four whole sea lanes connecting you from continent to continent.
With so many players in place, the only question is, who will you play first? In the video above, we get a look at a map full of conflict. It is a map that lives and breathes from turn to turn. Lizardmen clash with daemons. Explorers hoping to plunder riches make their way across dangerous wastes. And through it all, necromancers hunt for the Books of Nagash, while the Chaos gods seek to ruin all.
Will light triumph over dark? Will all bow down before Settra the Imperishable? Only you—and the autoresolve calculator—can say for certain.
