This episode is largely about one of the biggest models to hit the table in a long time. Horus, the Man, the Myth, the Legend, the Ascended.
Sometime you just want to invest a 3rd or more of your points into one model and I’m okay with that. The Horus Heresy setting is one full of myth, destruction, despair and heroic moments. The namesake of the whole thing is a guy named Horus and his unprecedented betrayal of the leader of the human race.
There are a few books on the subject and if you aren’t familiar with them we highly suggest you check them out. We’ll wait while you do. To get the full appreciation for this character you do want to start at the beginning.
Horus Ascended is an amazing model. It can be intimidating to think about putting it together and painting it but don’t let that stop you. You start like any other project and do it bit by bit, one step at a time. Clean the model, assemble the model to a stage you’re comfortable with and then prime. Prime lightly, my friends, you don’t want to lose any of this spectacular detail.
We go over the rules for this guy while talking about what he means to the overall landscape of this entire game. We’ve seen the rules in the main Liber book but the model is an all together different thing to behold. If you play Sons of Horus this is a must have.
The hobby segment will be back next week!
