Wizards of the Coast will place Secret Lair x Ghostbusters, a new drop set for Magic: The Gathering, onto preorder on September 30, 2024.
WotC continues to go full-steam ahead, expanding Magic: The Gathering into even more Universes Beyond via their Secret Lair Drop Series. For the upcoming Camp Totally Safe Superdrop, which goes on preorder around the time of the Duskmourn set launch (see “‘Magic: The Gathering’ ‘Duskmourn’ Set“), WotC went and tapped the Ghostbusters license for a new Secret Lair x Ghostbusters: Slimer set. The drop features everyone’s favorite hungry green ghost on five cards: The Mimeoplasm as Slimer, Voracious Apparition; Trickbind as Slimed; Windfall as Slimer’s Feast; Incarnation Technique as Escape Confinement and Pernicious Deed.
Alongside the Ghostbusters set, WotC also previewed a few of the showcase treatment sets included in the Camp Totally Safe Drop. One of the sets mimics the covers of old pulp, horror magazines from the 60s and 70s (see gallery below).
