Phoenix Lord Fuegan had been spotted in the wild and now Games Workshop confirms: He’s coming back with a new miniature.

If you were hoping to get a new Phoenix Lord when the Craftworld Aeldari got their codex it seems like your wish is coming true. Kinda. GW has announced a new Fuegan miniature is on the way but it isn’t saying exactly when he’s going to show up.

via Warhammer Community

“Fuegan has a prophesied role to play at the Rhana Dandra, the end of all days. He is to gather the rest of the Phoenix Lords to fight this final battle against Chaos, and he shall be the last to fall, his soul and those of his kin merging to birth Ynnead, the Aeldari god of death, and usher in a new epoch. Is this day coming? Indubitably. Is it soon? None can say, for the Aeldari are a long-lived race, and what might seem imminent to them could be many generations away for a human…”

Phoenix Lord Fuegan

The new miniature was spotted online and this now confirms that GW is going to be releasing an updated version for this Phoenix Lord in the future. Additionally, if the WarCom text wasn’t clear enough, Fuegan’s return is “soon.” But that’s relative to GW’s timeline.

We know the Aeldari are due for a new codex in 2025 but we’re not sure when. Personally, I’m hoping this also means we’re getting the Fire Dragons in plastic, too.

Considering how old his current model is it’s about time he get’s a glow up!

He’s still got his epic firepike called Searsong as well as his Fire Axe, too. I’m a little bummed he doesn’t have the dragon broach and the new model has significantly less scales on it. Although, the thigh pads do have the same design as well as the shoulder pads. So at least there’s a more than a few nods to the old model.

Fuegan also appears to be on a suitably epic base this time around and also appears to have his proportions reworked. All of that is a good thing in my book! I’m looking forward to seeing this one in person.

There’s only a couple more Phoenix Lords and their respective units to go until they all get the plastic treatment…

Things are about to heat-up in the grimdark.
