There’s a new unique character coming to Necromunda and he’s ready to gather ALL the intel from the enemy. Meet Silberlant Sevos.
Most of the unique characters in Necromunda have interesting and sometimes tragic backstories. Silberlant Sevos is no different. Physically shattered by an attempt to merge his mind with the Van Saar STC, Sevos was left for dead. But, he gained some new powers from this twisted experiment.
His attempts ended in failure when the STC itself rejected his communion, shattering his body and mind in a massive synaptic backlash that left Sevos critically injured and bereft of his senses. His former comrades unceremoniously dumped his body in an underhive refuse pit for daring to break their sacred Three Laws, but while he lay there dying, Sevos realised that his experiment hadn’t totally failed – he could see and feel the electronic soul of the hive around him, and even manipulate a clade of nearby maintenance servitors.
Silberlant Sevos, The Ultimate Intel Gatherer
With his new found abilities Sevos was able to take control of more systems, servitors, and other tech scavenged in the hive. He was able to construct a suspensor chair with the aide of his electronic minions. He also discovered he was now able to tap into the electronic highways of information floating around the hive.
Silberlant Sevos has the ability gather intelligence in a way that makes House Delque jealous. And those abilities aren’t just a thing in the background — he can use this ability on the battlefield, too.
Pass or fail your opponent is going to give you information — the check is just to figure out how much. What you do with that information is really up to you. But a good gang leader is going to know how to take that intel and make the best use of it.
Sevos doesn’t come cheap and isn’t exactly a natural when it comes to fighting. However, if you can pay the creds and keep him around, he’s worth it. Honestly, he reminds me a bit of Professor X…if Professor X had Telepathy with machines and lived in the Grimdark.
Sevos is coming soon from GW as a new resin miniature. Be on the look out for any strange signals in the vox chatter…Silberlant Sevos might be listening.
