Goatboy here with a tough and stinky Warhammer 40K list that is all Death Guard Terminators all the time. Good luck killing all these walking plague-bros.
The last points update really did some good things for the Death Guard army. In fact the other armies it hit really helped these guys out and I expect to see them show up in teams games and in some singles events. The big push with Deathshroud Terminators and overall tough style army mixed with a great utility Daemon Primarch creates a very powerful choice in today’s 40K 10th Edition tournament format.
My buddy Will Davis from Dallas took this armylist to the San Antonio Shootout this past weekend. I didn’t get to play him but I got to see this mass of green snotty nonsense on the tabletop. Will paints pretty well so it is a very pretty army to see running around and it feels very Death Guard like with its slow crush of death and destruction. I really love the 10 Blightlord Terminators too as it forces the opponent to keep Cull The Horde if they draw it and it is usually a “dead” draw for them. That is something to think about as we build lists now – figuring out some ways to give your opponent dead secondary draws on those mission cards.

Morty’s Plague Terminators Tactics
The Great Unclean one gives you some combos with some Aura problems as the ole Plaguebearers give you a nice sticky objective unit. I would think a few Nurglings might help by giving another -1 to hit but this army doesn’t need it with so much beef on the tabletop. Typhus is pretty amazing too as a Mortal Wound bomb and pain to try and get rid of.
Will took 3rd place with only a loss I think to Aaron and his Knights if I remember correctly. If not I am sure Aaron or Will – will tell me. This is a pretty good list and with things like 30 World Eater Terminators doing well – gives you some ideas on different types of “tough” armies to take for teams. There is almost no way this army truly loses big and that is a great thing to have in your group of 5-8 armies you might want to take. In fact – it makes me think a World Eater 30 Terms list with this mess of doom might just be a good one to combo for your armies.
