The Jedi Council is coming to Star Wars: Shatterpoint. What will they bring to the tabletop? It’s Lightsabers. Lots of Lightsabers.

It’s about to be Lightsaber time in Star Wars: Shatterpoint! I mean, I know we’ve gotten Jedi and Sith and Lightsabers already. But this is a box of Jedi! And today we’ve got a look at exactly what the Wisdom of the Council will bring to Shatterpoint.

“This time we’re looking at a formidable squad centered around a pair of Jedi Masters who belonged to that infamous last Jedi High Council in the final years of the Galactic Republic. This council is noteworthy for the number of paragons among its members, each possessed of distinct wills, personalities, and expressing various aspects of the Jedi code. This pair is especially noted for their wisdom, higher thought, and foresight—Jedi Masters Ki-Adi-Mundi and Shaak Ti, both counted among the greatest minds of their generation.”

Wisdom of the Council – Star Wars: Shatterpoint

Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi

Kicking things off we have Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi. As the Primary Unit he’s bringing 8 SP and 3 Force Points to the tabletop. You can see his ability card above and he’s got some good ones to use. His big one is Guardians of the Republic. This Identity Ability really boosts Galactic Republic characters. But’s got a real benefit for allied Jedi units. The heal and dash for Jedi is going to be super useful. And the reduction to use Active and Reactive abilities is also solid.

Master Ki-Adi-Mundi is also a potent combatant in combat — as you might expect from a Jedi on the Council! His stances showcase his master of two of the Lightsaber forms. He probably knows way more but does want to show off. Form V Shien brings a lot more healing while Form II Makashi has a lot of bonus damage. It really depends on what sort of situation you’re going into.

Jedi Master Shaak Ti

Master Shaaj Ti might be listed as a Secondary Unit but she’s no slouch! Just check out her Virtuoso ability as it makes her immune to being Pinned or Exposed! She might be best known as a teacher and trainer but that just means she’s had a LOT of practice.

Form IV Ataru is a potent option for her combat stance, too. It has some nice tactical options and doesn’t skimp on the damage output either. Jedi Master Shaak Ti is going to be a problem for a lot of units when she closes the gap.

Padawan Learners

Don’t laugh at the Padawans. They still have the Force and those “pesky” Lightsabers. They might not be quite as well trained but I still would never underestimate them — especially on the tabletop of Shatterpoint. The free heal from Lessons Learned is just going to keep them in the game longer. All the better to bust out Form I Shi-Cho and use it on their targets.

The Force Is Strong With This Pack
