The Marvel-Multiverse is in full effect and this is the crossover we need. Here are the Marvel: Rivals Characters we need on the tabletop!
I’ve been playing a TON of Marvel: Rivals lately. It’s free and it’s pretty fun. With all the cool art and different skins the game has it got me wondering: why haven’t these characters been added to Marvel: Crisis Protocol yet? So let’s point out the obvious and get to them!
Peni is the pilot of the mech suit SP//dr. Her first official appearance was in Edge of the Spider-Verse #5 (Oct 2014). She hails from Earth-14512 and has quite the backstory. Personally, I just like the idea of having a Spider-Mech suit on the tabletop and think that she would be a fantastic addition.
I know I’ve mentioned her in previous line-ups before. Honestly, she’s one of the character I was really expecting after the GoG movies came out. Plus with the next wave of Yondu and Nova it would have made sense for Mantis to show up. I kind of hope she gets a Wong-like heal, too.
Luna Snow is a relatively new character to Marvel in general. She first appeared in Marvel Future Flight — which is a different Video game from 2018. Her first comic book appearance was in 2019 in the book War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas #1. As a long time X-Men fan, it’s really hard for me to NOT make the connection to Dazzler. With Luna Snow being a K-Pop idol, she’s basically an ice version of Dazzler…and I’m not saying that is a bad thing!
Cloak and Dagger have a long history in Marvel Comics. I don’t think I need to get into that here. However, I would like to see them added to Marvel: Crisis Protocol. They are great dynamic duo as well. I could see AMG putting them on the same, large base. However, I kind of want them to be two different characters that you have to take together. I’m not sure how that would work ruleswise, but I’ll let AMG figure that one out.
Adam Warlock is another character with a crazy history in Marvel. He’s also appeared in other media like his appearance in the MCU. Depending on where you want to pull him from in his history he could have very different powersets. Still, I’d like to have some version of him in Marvel: Crisis Protocol. Personally, I want to figure out how to do the whole Infinity Gauntlet story line in mission form…
Well, that’s it for my list of characters I’d like see pulled from Marvel: Rivals. Hopefully we’ll see them show-up either in an epic crossover or just pulled from the pages of the comics!

Hey, Where’s Jeff the Land Shark?!
Oh did you think I forgot about the Land Shark that has won the internet? With this overpowered heals and team-wiping ult? No way, man! Jeff is awesome. However, technically, he’s already in MCP. He’s a part of the basing for Gwenpool! Unfortunately that’s really all he’s got going on right now. I would not mind having him join the MCP tabletop in a bigger role.
Jeff the Land Shark. Or as I call him: “El Jefe”
