Games Workshop dropped a new Balance Dataslate as well as a points update via a new Munitorum Field Manual for Warhammer 40,000.
Warhammer 40,000’s latest Balance Dataslate is out and making the rounds. GW didn’t really announce this on WarCom yesterday either. Anyhow, we’ve got the two keydownloads linked below. However, there were also another handful of updates that got pushed out as well. Here’s a screen shot of those documents:
If you are playing Warhammer 40,000 and using any of these factions it’s highly recommended you check on their respective section. You can find all the relevant downloads on this page. Most of these updates are just a couple of lines of red text because they are fairly targeted changes.

Because every army in the game is covered here, I highly recommend that you download this document and check on your army for yourself. Between the new updates in red text and the highlighted updates, it should be fairly simple to spot any changes to your army. That said, there’s not a point in relisting every single highlighted change here because it would just be the entire document again.
Red text changes were more limited. Here’s a what those changed:
Chaos Daemons – Denizens of the Warp Stratagem: Delete Restrictions section
- Dark Angels – Mounted Strategist Enhancement updated
- Dark Angels – Black Knights & Ravenwing Command Squad, Melee Weapons – Profile updated
- T’au Empire – Bonded Heroes Detachment Rule – range change for Armour Penetration bonus, now 9″
Again, it’s highly recommended if you’re going to be playing 40k at all, you really should download this document and check for updates to your specific army.

Astra Militarum
The Astra Militarum are really the stars of the show for this update. I’m almost positive you can chalk these changes to the fact that they just got a new Codex via the Death Korps Army Box even though it’s technically not available in stores yet. Anyhow, it’s a bunch of points that have been shifted above. There’s also more changes to the Detachment Enhancements, too. That’s because they got a few more added to their pool.
There’s also the Codex FAQ and Errata for the army out now as well. There’s not a ton of changes but it’s worth checking out for all you Astra Militarum fans out there.
Orks

The Orks also got one update to their points. The Tankbusta unit went up by 30 points and now costs 120. But that’s basically it for all the other points in Warhammer 40,000 at the moment.
