WizKids’ line of official Baldur’s Gate 3 miniatures hits store shelves just as the dust clears from another BG3-inspired incident.
Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to shine on, which is a testament to how good the game is. Its rich tapestry of characters has found a lasting niche in D&D and video game history. This in spite of all the chicanery associated with it; from WotC laying off the team of its own devs that got it greenlit in the first place, to the much more recent dustup regarding a fan-created BG3 mod.
And it’s as the dust from Baldur’s Village settles, that WizKids’ officially licensed miniatures just happen to hit shelves. A casual reminder of the corporate behemoth behind the scenes. That said, WizKids’ miniatures look pretty—and are a great way for you to slap down some of your favorites in your next tabletop game. Or, more likely, to have them on some collectible shelf (or near your monitor for your next playthrough).
You can absolutely make them kiss. The gang’s all there, in pre-painted glory, even Withers (though you’ll have to add your own big naturals).
WizKids’ Icons of the Realms: Baldur’s Gate 3 Character Boxed Set
Each of the origin characters is here, save of course for Tav (which make sense) and the Dark Urge, or Durge, as the community has come to call them. This one makes less sense, because, while it’s true that you can customize the Dark Urge to look like whatever you want, there is technically a canonical appearance, the white dragonborn you’ve likely seen snacking on Gale’s hands.
“Transport your favorite characters from the screen to the tabletop with the new D&D Icons of the Realms: Baldur’s Gate 3 – Character Boxed Set! This set features 7 iconic characters from the critically acclaimed Baldur’s Gate 3 video game, perfectly recreated as detailed, pre-painted miniatures.
