Jesse Heinig released a massive update for the Dark Suns setting with a 378-page PDF The Sand Marches. This passion project creates a West Marches style campaign from the classic survival setting for AD&D 2nd Edition and using those rules. Note: Link goes directly to the download for the PDF.

Dungeon Age Adventures gives us the OSR adventure Perilous Path of the Cursed Camel you can play using Old School Essentials, Shadowdark, or Cairn. The Level 2-3 party encounters a bizarre camel that says they’re doomed to have their souls eaten by witches, unless they can steal enough ancient relics from across the world within a few hours.

Over on Dungeonmasters Guild, Shaqeil Gibson has a unique take on the “DMPC” concept with The Anchorborn, “a lightweight, immersive narrative mechanic that allows the DM to take on a unique, semi-playable presence within the story — a character not of power, but of purpose.”

With the trailer for the new Frankenstein film from Guillermo del Toro sparking interest in the story, Extra Troubadour has some amazing timing with their adventure Loved Til Undeath. This one-shot inspired by Mary Shelley’s classic comes complete with fully fleshed out NPCs and five ready-to-use maps to tell murder mystery with elements of body horror.

With convention season in full swing, there’s a lot of gaming with strangers going on. Extra Troubadour has a template perfect for GMs running convention games with the X-Card + Name Tag. One side has space for the player’s name, character’s name, and their pronouns. The other side has an X-Card along with an explanation of its use.

Charity Bundles and Sales

Over on Humble Bundle, the RPG Gamemaster Book Series features a selection of system-neutral books with tips, tricks, and advice on how to run the best tabletop RPG games possible. The base tier includes books on villains and locations, the second level adds on books on dragons and “proactive roleplaying”, while the top tier features 11 total titles covering subjects like random encounters, NPCs, puzzles, towns and cities, and more.
