We’ve got the new Clone Commander Cody in the house, and we’re taking a closer look at him for Star Wars: Legion!
Clone Commander Cody is a fan favorite and a loyal clone trooper in his own right. So it’s great that he’s joining the tabletop in Star Wars: Legion. Atomic Mass Games sent us a preview copy of their miniature, and I’m diving into their boxed contents. So let’s get started!
Clone Commander Cody Unboxed
The first thing about this box is that it’s a smaller box than the other big unit packs — but that makes sense. There are three miniatures in the box: Commander Cody, Boil, and Waxer. So the smaller box fits the bill.
Now, once we get inside, we see that it’s the same setup we’ve seen many times before from Atomic Mass Games. We’ve got the flyer with the QR code to the building instructions. There’s the baggy for the sprues, one for the bases, and another for the cards. Everything is separated and easy to sort.
The sprue is fairly straightforward as well. All three miniatures are on a single sprue, and if you look closely, all the bits are numbered and labeled. Also, I don’t remember if I’ve talked about this before, but the simple A,B, and C labels are correlated to which miniature you’re building. When I assemble these miniatures from AMG products, I clip out all the bits with the same letter. That’s typically all the ones you’ll need to complete that miniature. It makes assembly a breeze.
Oh, and just for completeness, you can see the three bases in the image above, too. Those are the standard small bases for Star Wars: Legion. No surprises there.
As far as the cards and extras (really just tokens), those are above. I did use another card from one of the other language sets to show off the reverse side artwork. This set comes with a total of 4 play sets for the supported languages. Other than that, the pack also has the upgrade cards and the command cards. If you’re looking for a breakdown of Commander Cody’s cards/rules I actually did that already.
Clone Commander Cody Ready To Deploy
The good news is that the pack of Clone Commander Cody is already out and available for purchase. You can find a link to the Asmodee site or you can score one from your FLGS. So send in those clones with a leader pulled from the ranks of their own with Clone Commander Cody!

This pack brings him to the tabletop with his three signature Command Cards that invite players to shape their strategies to Cody’s strengths.
