RPG: Ironsworn’s ‘Lodestar’ Gives You Everything You Need In One Book—And You Can Pay What You Want For It

I’m a huge fan of Ironsworn and Ironsworn: Starforged and the like. They are some of the most interesting takes on the Powered-by-the-Apocalypse framework. With Ironsworn, you’ll find a robust system that lets you tell fantasy sagas about adventuring in a harsh world with an unforgiving wilderness, dangerous cities and settlements and more.

It also has some of the best rules for playing a game solo I’ve ever come across. If you want to learn about GMing a game, or are just curious, I can’t recommend trying it hard enough. Ironsworn Lodestar: One Reference, All The Rules

One of my favorite things abut Ironsworn is just how invested it gets in giving you what you need to make your own world. Every game truly feels like its your own. And the rules that have come out over the years exemplify this. You can even do some deep dungeon crawling with the Delve expansion. And in Lodestar, you can get all the Ironsworn rules in one book.

It’s a reference guide to the game that puts it at your fingertips. Need to roll up a settlement? What about figure out the themes and emotions of an adventure? Or how about generate the dungeon that you’re exploring? All of this and more—especially the character and move guides—await within.

You can download the PDF for free. You can snag the Print on Demand version for just the cost to actually make it. If you like, you can always pay more, raise the price above the minimums to support more Ironsworn development. But otherwise, what a gift!
