Neverwinter Nights 2 Enhanced Edition is pre-orderable on Steam, mere hours after a major announcement about its July release.

The pipeline of “hey we’re doing this thing maybe” to “now you can pre-order it” for Neverwinter Nights 2, Enhanced Edition, is a steep, roller-coastery drop. It was a few months ago that we got a hint of maybe something Neverwintery coming from Aspyr media. Then, yesterday at the PC Gaming Show, we got the announce trailer, which you can see below. And now, the game is up on Steam for pre-order with a July 15th release date.

Neverwinter Nights 2 Enhanced Edition – Now On Steam

And it’s the full suite of Neverwinter Nights 2 stuff. All the expansion packs. All the bells, all the whistles. It’s all here. So you’ll find: Mask of the Betrayer, Mysteries of Westgate, and Storm of Zehir waiting. Which is super exciting because Neverwinter Nights 2 has been gone from the Steam storefront since 2013.

After a dozen years away, you can finally play the game on Steam again, thanks to the efforts of the Aspyr team with the Enhanced Edition. It promises to have all the best of the original, along with some modern day upgrades and quality of life improvements like smoother gameplay with refined camera controls, polished mechanics, enhanced textures, and full controller support with a newly designed controller-specific UI.

And better still, the game is coming out in like a month.

“Return to the city of Neverwinter in Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition.

A dark force sweeps over Faerûn, ravaging everything in its path as though searching for something – something that you now find in your possession. As the Shard-Bearer, only you can stop the King of Shadows and his army from desecrating the land you call home. Will you save Faerûn, or fall victim to the temptation of absolute power?

When your actions dictate the fate of the Realms, there are no small choices.”

The game is also on sale right now. You can pre-order it at 10% off, which isn’t a ton, sure. But if you were going to pick it up at launch anyway, you can at least save yourself a little in the initial sale wave. At any rate, the game launches July 15th.

And with 100+ hours you’ll have your midsummer plans set for you!
