Free League Publishing announced Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying Starter Set, which will be headed to stores in October 2025.
The Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying Starter Set offers players an entry level RPG product with a set of condensed rules for action skill tests, combat, damage, and fear. The boxed set also includes an introductory mystery, The Haunting of Castle Gyllencreutz, that allows players to explore the headquarters of the monster-hunting Society itself, and five pre-generated characters. It also contains the Codex Occultum, the Society’s old journal of vaesen, as well as maps, handouts, rules reference cards, initiative cards, and engraved custom dice.
This boxed set will retail for $29.99.
Free League Publishing also recently unveiled Mythic Carpathia and City of My Nightmares, two new expansion books for Vaesen RPG (see “Two New ‘Vaesen RPG’ Expansions“).
