The Grey Knights are coming and they have a new Combat Patrol box waiting to launch. Time to purge the daemons on the tabletop!
Games Workshop has announced a brand new Grey Knight Combat Patrol Box. This one is shuffling around the contents and options you’ll get inside. Plus, this one features a certain Grey Knight Swordsman…
“Crowe’s Sanctifiers is a flexible and hard-hitting force led by Castellan Crowe himself. This living legend can lash out with psychic Purifying Flame from range, or close the distance to carve up daemons and other unlucky foes with the infamous Black Blade of Antwyr. “
New Grey Knight Combat Patrol – Crowe’s Sanctifiers
This new Combat Patrol for the Grey Knights is led by none other than Castellan Crowe. Following him into battle we also have a 10-man Strike Squad and a unit of five Brotherhood Terminators. That’s already a potent little package of Grey Knights. However, to round things out, we also have a Venerable Dreadnought tossed in the mix, too!
Above you can see the box of the previous version of the Grey Knight Combat Patrol. It’s worth pointing out that while the five man Terminator Squad is the same, there’s other differences. You only get a five man Strike Team. Additionally, the character leading the squad is a Terminator Librarian. Finally, the Dreadknight is in the box instead of the Venerable Dreadnought now.
Honestly, if you were starting a Grey Knight army, both boxes are good options. The old version is still around as the back stock is out there. In fact, I don’t know for sure, but I think part of the reason this box got swapped out is because of the Terminator Librarian miniature. The model in the box is the older version that was updated when the current edition of 40k launched.
It’s also worth noting that this isn’t the first time Castellan Crowe has had release like this. Way back in 2021 when Games Workshop was still doing those combo-army boxes they released the Hexfire boxed set that featured the Grey Knights vs the Thousand Sons. In that set we had Castellan Crowe leading the charge as well. It came with the miniatures above for the Grey Knights. It’s funny how that worked out.
Anyhow, the new Grey Knight Combat Patrol is coming soon along with their Codex. Daemons beware!
Castellan Crowe is back once again in a boxed set for the Grey Knights.
