Free League’s dark sci-fi epic RPG launches into a new edition with the release of Coriolis: The Great Dark, putting expeditions and explorations at play.
After a phenomenally successful Kickstarter campaign last year, Free League has released a new edition of its dark sci-fi RPG, Coriolis: The Great Dark. What is Coriolis? A dark sci-fi game of exploration in a world where a cataclysmic scourge tears its way through the galaxy. As the safe places start to die off, it becomes up to the heroes of the story (the players) to delve into the Great Dark and its strange, blighted ruins to see if they can salvage hope.
Coriolis: The Great Dark
Coriolis: The Great Dark is the second edition of Free League’s Coriolis. In this 2E of the game, the designers have placed a renewed focus on both exploration and intrigue. Players undertake treacherous journeys through space to find mysterious ruins, it’s space magic at its finest. The game gives players more tools to play in the Great Dark of outer space.
The story takes inspiration from 19th-century expeditions and deep sea diving and pulp archaeology. Coriolis: The Great Dark is the perfect balm for someone hungry for a little more spooky space adventure. Especially since the new edition has a ton more rules for exploring the unknown. You may find yourself trekking across planets or navigating the Slipstream.
Alongside tools to make your own uncharted sections of the Great Dark, you’ll find all the other rules. This includes updated character creation rules and rules for treating your whole party/crew as a character. You even get an introductory adventure designed to lure you into the themes and atmosphere of the Great Dark.

Alongside the core rulebook, you can also pick up a GM’s screen and custom dice set. They’re just regular d6s, but they have cool symbols on them.
