Warhammer Quest: Darkwater is on the way and Games Workshop is teasing a vote to reveal the heroes.

Last week, Games Workshop announced Warhammer Quest: Darkwater. We really didn’t have much to go off of except the box art.

All that we could really tell is that it seems to be a return to the same format from Warhammer Quest. There are four new heroes from the Order side of things and then we’ve got various chaos baddies as the antogonists. They appeared to be from the Nurgle side of Chaos as well. There’s Beastmen as well as (what are probably) Putrid Blightkings.

Having Beastmen in this boxed set is an interesting move as well. Considering that range basically got moved to The Old World. And the text clearly says that it’s “Grim Adventure in the Ruins of the Mortal Realms” — so we’re not going back to the Old World? Doe that mean Pestigors on the way? I guess we’ll find out! And maybe sooner than planned.

“You might have seen this image questing about the internet this morning. We can make out some green dudes. There’s some dice, maybe. What looks like a horse or something…”

Choose Your Own Hero By Vote

Here’s the thing, this is classic potato camera stuff. And we all know that GW has better images they could share. So they are giving folks the option: Vote for the reveal.

  • Inara Sion, The Cleansing Blade
  • Bren Tylis, The Renegade Saint
  • Edmark Valoran, The Manticore Knight
  • Drolf Ironhead, The Grizzled Explorer

“You have a little over 12 hours to cast your vote, and the most popular choice will have their miniature revealed tomorrow!

The poll will stay open until 9am UK time, and we’ll reveal the victorious hero tomorrow. Wild speculation is encouraged in our social media comments. Make sure you subscribe to the Warhammer newsletter to see all the reveals as they happen!”

Vote For the Hero Reveal Here

You should totally vote for the hero you want to see. That said, I’ll be honest: I’m more interested in the Chaos forces here! I’m not 100% sure but those blurry miniatures aren’t just reboxes of the Putrid Blightkings. There also appears to be a rather large and pale Nurgle follower on the board, too. Who the heck is that guy!?

These sculpts don’t line up with the blurry ones in that photo…

If I were a Nurgle fan, this box should make you a tad more excited now. Hopefully, we’ll find out what’s going on with the chaos creatures lurking in the Darkwater!
