Goatboy’s Grimdark Armylist – Admech Haloscreed Battleclade FTW

This week’s army 40K list is one of the winning Admech Haloscreed Battleclade lists from this past week. Check it out!

The dataslate update and point shifts really have amplified the Ad-mech army.  You can see how many units are available in this list and just the sheer amount of pressure they can put on an army.  There are so many movement tricks and other fun stuff that can just wreck you.  I think it is probably a good thing this army is expensive to collect, because if there were a ton at an event it would be a nightmare to chew through.

This list is from the Malmo Wargaming Weekend which was a 120-player event in Sweden this past weekend.  There were two undefeated Ad-Mech lists in the top and the Swedes are known to be on the forefront of building rough armies to try and deal with.  Aat Niehot’s list is what I am showing which is a Haloscreed Battle Clade list.  He was nice enough to have a bit of a breakdown within his list for those playing it – which showcases the pile of mortal wounds the army can do.

Ad-Mech Haloscreed Battleclade Tactics

Aat put in a cheat sheet where he lists out all the things this army can do. A quick highlight for those wondering, is the army can get a lot of extra movement, extra damage, and other fun things like the Rust Stalkers throwing out 45 attacks that can do mortal wounds.  Heck the Rust Stalkers just go crazy with so many buffs like +2 to Advances and Charges if they are near battleline units.  The army can get Critical Hits on a 5+ as well.  They have piles of rerolls due to Cawl giving out a “Marine like Oath” on a target.  Heck the sheer number of models is also gnarly too.

This army is starting show up more and more and some of the better players are calling it one of the best in the game right now.  I think it is an expensive army that is hard to transport and keep alive thru flights/drives/gameplay.  I did wonder if Admech got overtuned and it is feeling like it might right now.
