Star Wars: Legion has a new Character Pack out for the Empire. We’re diving inside the Darth Vader and General Veers box!
Atomic Mass Games has been relaunching/repacking characters for Star Wars: Legion into new hard plastics. They sent me a copy of the Darth Vader and General Veers Character Pack to check out. It’s good to see this one up close so let’s get into it!
I’m pretty sure General Veers was pointing at Vader because he wanted him to be named first on the cover.
Darth Vader & General Veers Character Pack Unboxed
Kicking things off, once inside the box we have the standard AMG packaging. The cards/tokens are in their own baggy as are the sprues and bases. Not too surprising here.
Speaking of the cards, I didn’t take pictures of them individually because you can find them directly from AMG. They are free and you can find the generic cards as well as the cards for the Empire Units, their upgrades and more. One last thing about the cards in the box is that they are play sets for all the various supported languages as well. Again, this is now standard practice from AMG and I think it’s pretty good news all around. On to the sprues!
Unsurprisingly, we’ve got two sprues here for the characters. Above you can see General Veers on the left and Vader on the right. I’ve been impressed with the hard plastics from AMG and these are really well detailed for the size they are. Veers looks like he stepped off the screen and onto the tabletop for sure. Vader is also really well detailed. I like that the ridges in his armor are actually sculpted — and you can see them. On other note about Vader’s sprue. If it looks familiar, that’s because it should.
It’s the exact same sprue from the Galactic Empire Starter Set which I already unboxed. That set, by the way, is still a fantastic deal for anyone looking to start an Empire army.
