The award-winning Mutants & Masterminds superhero roleplaying game has innovated and continued to evolve throughout its more than twenty year history. The third edition of the game, published in 2011, has been the longest-running by far, but was due for a refresh and an update, and that’s just what this new and improved edition offers.

All With One Die: The new edition retains M&M’s award-winning system that uses just one 20-sided die to handle everything, from checks to attacks to damage resistance and more, with added clarification and development of the game’s systems of checks.

Universal Measures: A universal system of rank and measurement allows both Metric and Imperial (US) measures to work with the game easily.

Streamlined Hero Creation: Use fifteen base hero archetypes, each with a series of choices and options, to quickly create heroes and be ready to play in minutes. The popular Power Points creation system remains available and the hero archetypes are fully compatible with it.

Reactions: Characters get an additional action option each round called a reaction, opening up new capabilities, tactical options, and designs.

Advantages and Heroic Feats: Over a hundred different advantages are available for hero creation and the Hero Point rules make nearly all of them available as in-play heroic feats characters can perform when they need to.

More Powerful Than Ever: The complete system of super-powers in Mutants & Masterminds has been modified, upgraded, playtested, and refined. Choose from ready-to-use powers or create your own with power effects and modifiers, allowing you to create virtually any power you can imagine!

All New Art: The new edition features new art and graphic design with the usual eye to detail Green Ronin is known for, including a stunning wraparound cover by comic artist Sean Izaakse.

All in One: The Mutants & Masterminds Hero’s Handbook remains all that you need to play and run the game. The optional Mastermind’s Manual offers a wealth of resources for Game Masters, but all the core rules of the game are complete all in one book.
