Nagash is here and he’s ready for Total War! The End Times are coming to Total War: Warhammer III in 2026!
The Lords of the End Times are on their way and Nagash is here to make a statement. Total War: Warhammer fans, this one is for you.
Pretty lore accurate Settra at least.
From the Announcement Video:
“Nagash, the great necromancer himself. Long whispered about in the darkest corners of the lore, he returns with one goal: to drown the world in undeath. Lords of the End Times — the next DLC for Total War: Warhammer III — is coming summer 2026.”
But there’s more from WarCom. This is just the first of four lords to be revealed for the End Times. Gee…I wonder who else could be on the way.
Coinciding with the 10th year of the Total War: Warhammer series, the Lords of the End Times pack lets four new Legendary Lords loose in the Immortal Empires campaign – arriving summer 2026. As befits his status, Nagash is the first to be revealed, and he’s bringing his Mortarchs with him.
Total War: Warhammer III – Nagash Inbound
So from the looks of things not only are we getting Nagash but we’re also getting his Mortarchs, too. That’s kind of a big deal! We also see quite few other Undead characters make an appearance here as well. The final capstone here is the Black Pyramid taking flight. It’s honestly a pretty epic trailer.
That said, I’m wondering what all we’re getting with this expansion. Are we getting even more units beyond Nagash and the three other Lords (highly likely). I’m also going to assume we’re going to follow the storyline of the End Times books since that’s where it looks like the game is headed.
Additionally, there’s a Campaign Fly Over video to peruse, too:
From the video description:
“Taking inspiration from the lore, players will face a campaign experience transformed, with apocalyptic scenarios and cataclysmic events that push the boundaries of strategy and survival.”
If nothing else, the Campaign map does appear to be getting a make over. There’s certainly more lava flowing in this version. I’m guessing that’s probably Chaos’ fault.

Not The End?
One more note from WarCom in regards to the Total War series:
“The End Times was quite a declarative end to the World-that-Was, however the Lords of the End Times isn’t the final chapter of Total War: Warhammer – the series is far from over, and there are updates still to come.”
That’s good to know! The Total War: Warhammer series is one of those games where you can really go nuts with the campaign and all the games/expansions. There’s a LOT of content to chew on as the games basically build on top of each other. That can lead to some technical hiccups however. That said, when it’s working as intended, it’s a sight to behold. I’m curious to see what else is in store for this one.
Total War: Warhammer fans, are you ready for the End Times?
