The Old World breaches Cathays Great Bastion, while in the Horus Heresy, the forces of the Adeptus Mechanics march on.

It is a fine week for Warhammer. Next week sees the Old World heat up as the Great Bastion is breached. But it’s not all bad, Grand Cathay gets plenty of new toys out of the new story expansion. Plus, Horus Heresy AdMech forces, and even an Ork Pirate and some ammo runts. All this as part of next week’s pre-orders!

Warhammer Next Week: The Great Bastion And Heresy AdMech

It all kicks off with the Breach of the Great Bastion. This is the newest Arcane Journal and has a bunch of rules for new units, including Astromancers, Crane Gun Teams, Iron Hail Gunners, and Peasant Levies. All of which were called up to defend the Great Bastion – speaking of, you’ll find rules for the Battle of Nan-Li here as well.

There’s also the Defenders of the Great Bastion Army Reinforcement Set, which as luck would have it, contains many of the new units, starting with two Astromancers, 30 Peasant Soldiers, eight Crane Gun Teams, and 12 Iron Hail Gunners.

Horus Heresy Adeptus Mechanicus (And Kaptin Badrukk)

Meanwhile in the grim darkness of the Horus Heresy era, the Adeptus Mechanicus have rolled out some new toys. Starting with the Myrmidon Destructor Host, who have been transformed into weapons platforms, and can mount all kinds of terrifying tools of destruction including: irradiation engines, darkfire cannons, and shock chargers.

Working closely with the Fabricator General are the Skitarii Battle-Pilgrym Marshals. They lead their Battle-Pilgryms in search of important relics. They wield some of the more esoteric weapons from the AdMech, including voltlock handguns, archaeotech pistols, autocrit scepters, phase claws, and corposant staves.

Then of course, there are the Skitarii Battle-Pilgryms, whose voltlock arquebuses chew through infantry. Each kit comes with 16.

For truly pressing operations, there’s the Vultarax Stratos-Automata, which wields a variety of weapons suited to engaging multiple targets. With arc blaster, airburst, and shaped charge missiles they can kill enemies from afar, or engage up close and personal with talons.

And for the 40K world, there’s Kaptin Badrukk who strikes a most piratical pose with a sweet sweet miniature, made to order with accompanying horde of Ammo Runts.

Speaking of Ammo Runts, there’s also a horde of classic ammo runts available MTO starting March 9th.

All this, next week!
