Games Workshop is teasing the upcoming Arks of Omen event with a new series. Are you prepared for what the Emperor’s Tarot has in store?

The next big narrative event is gearing up for Warhammer 40,000. We know the Arks of Omen are going to pit the forces of the galaxy against each other on massive Space Hulks. And we also know that Abaddon is behind a lot of this one.

We learned all of that during the latest Warhammer Day Preview. And now it seems like Games Workshop is getting ready to fire up the Hype-Train for this event. There’s a new site and a teaser video as well.

Galaxy – De Galaxis Profundi

What goes along with this motion image is a short bit of dialogue:

Galaxy

The Galaxy burns in the fire of ambition.

Another round of the great game begins.

Okay then…nice and ominous. And vague. Real vague. You can interpret that a few different ways. In Canon this could be a nod to Abaddon and wanting to, ya know, burn the Galaxy. It could also be a reference to the next steps in his plan to do just that. He seems to be the driver of the new event afterall.

Outside the game-lore, this could also be a tease that the Game (Warhammer 40,000) is on fire and is about to get “Another Round” (aka a new edition). That might be a stretch but hey…it’s not like GW hasn’t launched these big narrative events to book-end an Edition before or anything. And hey, that’s the thing about these sorts of “prophecies” right? Read into them as much (or as little) as you’d like,

Anyhow, here’s a short look at the website that’s accompanying this clip:

At least we know we’re about to get a new clip of these Emperor’s Tarot Cards every Friday “as the saga unfolds.” So we’ll have something to look forward to and build off of! It’s still pretty early but if you’ve got some theories about how this is going to go down let’s start chatting it up in the comments!
