Games Workshop has dropped a new Rumor Engine today and we’re going to have to make some educated guesses on what this one could possibly be.

You typically shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover but in this case it’s really all we have to go on for this new Tuesday Rumor Engine. But before we get all wrapped up in the book you should have a look for yourself first.

“This week’s Rumour Engine seems to prove that bookbinders will always have a job or two lined up, especially those with a bit of blacksmithing nous. Paperbacks, on the other hand, seem to be arcane STC technology lost to the ages… Whose leatherbound tome is this, anyway, and what’s recorded inside? “

So it’s fairly clear from the text that this is indeed a book. What sort of book? Well that’s the hard part. I do wonder if this is from the Mortal Realms as it looks like an old school leather book with those metal clasps. But the text mentions an STC which are from the Grimdark of 40k. And, to be fair, books are pretty common in both games.

They ARE called Librarians…

There also appears to be some sort of wrapped weapon on the left of the book and probably some sort of cloth or leather robe or cape on the right. A Librarian would be a pretty good guess. Although the Age of Sigmar has some good candidates, too.

Witch Hunters aren’t that uncommon and they certainly have been known to carry strange tomes with them on occasion.  There’s also the Stormcast Eternals as well. The new Memorians could be good candidates for random books to carry for example.

At the end of the day, there’s loads of options for this one. And we haven’t even scratched the surface of the chaos side of things. Yes, even heretics like to read occasionally.

So this is where I kick this over to you! If you’ve got any ideas or theories drop us a line in the comments. This is a tough one for sure.

What book do you think this could be and who’s carrying it to battle?
