Rogue Trader’s new Void Shadows DLC has a scene where blood spouts in geysers out of the grates on your ship—that’s good 40K right there.

Rogue Trader got new DLC this week—and in true 40K fashion, there’s blood, gore, romance, and a Death Cult Assassin. There’s even a brand new way to die as a Genestealer Cult infests your crew! What more could you possibly want?

Void Shadows is Rogue Trader’s First DLC

Void Shadows is the first DLC for Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader, and it’s a doozy, too. Offering around 15 new hours of gameplay to explore, including a new romanceable NPC companion, the Death Cult Assassin Kibellah, players will find themselves thrust deep into a plot that threatens their dynasty and their very ship. Nowhere will be safe. But hey, that’s what 40K is all about, right? Surely you’re up to it, Lord-Captain?

“A new looming threat arises from within the deepest and darkest bowels of the player’s very own voidship—the malignant Genestealer Cult—a horrific breed of xenos who operate from the shadows, infecting your crew with their genetic code to convert them, slowly twisting their faith in the Emperor to carry out their wretched designs.”

All of the new stuff in the DLC is “fully integrated into the main campaign” which feels like a nice little bonus. No speedbumps to the story where you have to go to one part to “begin the campaign” so to speak. Love a seamless integration.

Along with the new threat and the new companion, you’ll also meet new crew members, find new areas on your own voidship, and experience all the best that Rogue Trader has to offer.

Good luck, Lord-Captain!
