This massive LEGO Venator from Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith includes thousands of pieces and stunning details.

Star Wars is well known for its massive spaceships and battles. It is, after all, Star Wars. Of all the big ships in the franchise, none are as iconic as the Star Destroyers. First introduced in the original Star Wars, they were used by the Empire. Episode III: Revenge of the Sith introduced a new class of Star Destroyers, the Venator Class, used by the Republic.

The Venator is now iconic in its own right. Indeed, thanks to its use in the Clone Wars and being heavily featured in the show of the same name, it probably has more screen time than any other Star Destroyer. For fans of the Prequels, it’s the quintessential Star Destroyer, and unlike the Imperial Class, it’s tied mostly to the good guys and the Jedi. This impressive MOC brings the classic ship to life in stunning detail. Let’s take a look.

Huge LEGO Venator MOC

This genuinely massive build is about seven feet long, several feet wide, and tall. Built out of 10,000s of thousands of pieces, it is a chonky beast.

The interior spaces are fully detailed and built at a minifig scale. The outside is obviously not, and built at it’s own scale. The MOC was built by the talented willbricksproductions. You should check out his other builds and logs on building this beast on YouTube.

Will’s Venator build is specifically based on the ship as seen in RoTS and not the Clone Wars version. There are tons of details on the exterior, included powered doors and tons of lights. The turrets are very detailed and each engine has around 1000 pieces! I really love the hidden detail of the crew served guns seen in RoTS that are at the back of the ship.

The inside has a number of rooms connected by minifig scale doors. The front section is a large hanger; it in you can see a fleet of micro ships as well as a scene from the end of the Clone Wars. Moving back, there are armories, lounges, and storage rooms. The rear hanger can hold several different fighting, such as a minifig scale Clone Wars era Y-Wing. Above all this, you’ve also got a small bridge with details and a hidden speeder hanger in the bottom!

A Closer Look

Check out this video for a full breakdown of the build that Will did. Make sure you check out the full build here.

Here are some of my favorite details, including two large hangers, clone troopers on duty, and an Ashoka appearance.

LEGO UCS Venator

Want a LEGO Venator of your own? This giant set includes authentic features such as striking red stripes, a command bridge, and a hangar containing a brick-built scale model of a Republic Gunship. It comes with a plaque with details and two minifigs (Captain Rex and Admiral Yularen) to display alongside it. At over three and a half feet long, it’s a massive model that will garner attention.

Abe is that rare thing, an Austin local born and raised here. Though he keeps on moving around, DC, Japan, ETC., he always seems to find his way back eventually. Abe has decades of experience with a wide range of tabletop and RPG games, from historicals, to Star Wars to D&D and 40K. He has been contributing to BOLS since almost the start, back when he worked at and then owned a local gaming store. He used to be big into the competitive Warhammer tournament scene but age has mellowed him and he now appreciates a good casual match. He currently covers 40K tactics and lore, as well as all things Star Wars, with occasional dabbling in other topics. Abe remains in mourning over the loss of WFB to this day.
