The Kharadron Overlords are coming with a new Battletome. Let’s see what aether-gold we can find in these previews.

It’s almost time for those Kharadron Skyvessels to leave the port once more. They’ve got a few new tricks up their sleeves as well as a new Battletome on the horizon. Let’s see what they can do!

“With corruption spreading across the Mortal Realms, Kharadron Admirals have been quick on the uptake with new tech, especially as they wouldn’t want to appear outgunned by madcap Warlocks of the Clans Skryre.”

Kharadron Overlords Rule Previews

First up, the only real army with any sorts of “transportation” is getting a slight rework.

“Battletome: Kharadron Overlords retains its battle traits for high-flying skyvessels that can give infantry a lift – though this is now restricted to your turn, and for units not in combat.”

They’ll still be able to get Infantry around fast but they’ve got that new restriction on the movement. You’ll also be able to nominate a sky-ship to be your Flagship. This “allows you to take two great endrinworks from an inventory of six.” Seems useful! Especially the two below.

First up we have a passive ability that provides a 5+ ward vs shooting attacks that you can apply to one of your vessels. The next one allows for a ship to ignore all negative modifiers for shooting at a single target — you just have to fire ALL the weapons of the ship at the same target.

Null-Khemists are also joining the fleet. We got a look at them already but it’s important to remember they are bringing a “magic-quashing aura” that gives nearby Skyfarer units a 5+ ward vs mortal damage originating from Spells, Prayers, or Manifestation abilities. That also seems very handy to have around.

They are also pretty mean against Priests, Wizards, and Manifestations in general. I have a feeling their presence is going to be very popular for the Kharadon Overlords.

Another new edition is the Zontari Endrin Dock. These odd floating platforms are manned by Duardin who then pilot drones from these platforms. They can heal other Skyvessles as also aide in other ways.

Depending on which Drone you bring you can help to shutdown magic, prayers, and Manifestations or land some precision demolition charges. Watch out for these drones!

The new Kharadron Overlords are coming soon. The previews are just getting started.
