Marvel: Crisis Protocol is so close to having these Super Teams in the game. We just need a handful of characters to make it happen.

One of my favorite things about Marvel: Crisis Protocol is how it allows you to create team-ups from the comics. While there are a couple “umbrella” Affiliations out there the comics are littered with super teams of all shapes and sizes. There are quite a few that are just a character or two away from being able to be formed on the tabletop, too. Here’s a few that stood out to me.

Excalibur

Oh Excalibur. This could be an easy add I think. So far, we’ve got Shadowcat, aka Kitty Pryde, and Nightcrawler in the game. We also have Psylocke although I don’t know if that counts (it’s complicated “Because Comics”). Really we’re just missing Captain Britain and maybe Rachel Summers. Also, the roster of  former members is pretty deep with the likes of Magik, Juggernaut, and Colossus in the mix. Heck, even Apocalypse at one point! So yeah, this one could totally happen.

Illuminati

The picture says it all. The Illuminati is indeed the shadowy order of some of the most powerful people in Marvel. Really, we just need Reed Richards and the Fantastic Four to be added and then this can actually be a thing. Also, we already have Beast and Black Panther who are associated with them, too. Seriously, we just need Reed Richards and the Illuminati can be a playable Affiliation on the tabletop.

Thunderbolts

The Thunderbolts have got through several different team line-ups over the years. I’m not going to go over each iteration. But you can see the picture above can count the character that are already in the game. And a few more on the way. And more than a few characters that could be added. Seriously, AMG needs to get a Thunderbolts Affiliation in Marvel: Crisis Protocol. They do have a movie coming after-all. They just need a leader or two to round out the Affiliation.

Avengers West Coast

The West Coast Avengers, Or Avengers West Coast (I’ve seen it both ways) typically revolves around Hawkeye and some other key members. The current iteration even has Gwenpool in it. Their roster is a pretty deep one to draw from as well and lots of the characters are in the game or are on their way. Iron Man, Warmachine, Moon Knight, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Hank Pym and Wasp are just a few examples. But there’s room to grow when Tigra lands. Oh and don’t forget Human Torch (The Jim Hammond version). I’d also like to see Wonder Man, U.S. Agent, and The Thing added one day, too.

There’s so many more Super Teams that could be added with just a handful of Characters. New Warriors comes to mind…but who would you want added?
