Games Workshop is reaching back in the history of The Old World to bring the Grand Master of the Knights Panther back!

Harald Gemunsen is a name not many folks will know. But for those who do recognize the name, they’ll know that he was the Grand Master of the Knights Panther — and was one of the greatest champions in all of the Empire. Well now he’s coming back to the Old World with an impressive new miniature. Get ready because the Knights Panther are going on the hunt.

“One of the youngest warriors inducted into the Order of the Knights Panther’s inner circle, Gemunsen proved himself a formidable warrior and an eloquent leader. When Chapter Master Otto van Walden was slain by a Ghorgon in the Drakwald Forest, it was Gemunsen who rallied his brothers and slew the beast, elevating him to Chapter Master of the Knights Panther in Middenheim.”

This is certainly a jump in detail from his previous miniature. This one has taken it up a notch but also manages to have quite a few call backs to the one from back in the day. Here — see for yourself:

The pose is a lot more dynamic with the new miniature. And don’t be fooled by the old miniature’s paint job. It’s doing a lot of work to make that old miniature more impressive for sure. That’s a credit to the painter though. The old miniature is based off the old Knight miniatures as well. But it does have some impressive headgear as well as the cat motifs sculpted on, too. The new miniature takes all that and amps it up quite a bit.

In game, he can join up with the Empire army. However, he can also be a member of the Knightly Order Army of Infamy. I think that might be where he really shines best. The miniature is coming soon and will be in Forge World resin.

I guess guess Grand Master of the Knights Jaguar didn’t quite roll off the tongue the same as “Knights Panther”
