In Warhammer 40K: Wrath & Glory‘s new supplement, Purge the Swarm, the bugs are the feature. As are your friends from Space Marine 2.

Warhammer 40K: Wrath & Glory is one of two different RPGs set in the grim darkness of the distant future. It’s the more, shall we say, high powered of the two. It’s the RPG you might turn to if you wanted to recreate the feeling of playing as the Defenders of Humanity at their most They Shall Know No Fear.

Which is probably why Wrath & Glory is the RPG that gets the Space Marine 2 tie-in PDF. Titled Purge the Swarm, the new Wrath & Glory supplement features a ton of bugs—but also a few surprising features.

Warhammer 40K: Wrath & GloryPurge the Swarm — Oh Good Now We’re On A Death World

As you might imagine from a title called Purge the Swarm, this supplement is all about fighting Tyranids. And if you’re familiar with Wrath & Glory, you’ll know that while there are a few bugs in it, they’re mostly there to take your denim. Not so any more. Because Purge the Swarm marks the first appearance of “iconic Tyranid threats” like the Carnifex. Or Tyranid Warriors, or even just some Hormgaunts.

But that’s hardly all of it. After all, this is the Space Marine 2 tie-in. And Wrath & Glory is going to do better than just bringing in the enemies from the game. Though it is a good excuse to do so. You’ll also find a slew of deadly new threats. The Death World of Kadaku features in the book, as does Avarax, with its massive urban sprawl disintegrating under the influence of Chaos.

And you can get the stats to play as Titus, Gadriel, and Chiron, if that’s your jam. Or just have them as NPCs.

So make sure your bolter and chainsword are cleaned up and ready to go. Because that swarm isn’t going to purge itself.

And watch out for unprocessed biomass!
