That Baldur’s Gate 3 Stardew Valley mod is out now. In Baldur’s Village, you will be able to meet familiar faces and even marry them.
In a crossover that seemed inevitable back when it was first announced, Baldur’s Village, the Baldur’s Gate 3 mod for Stardew Valley is out at last. This means that now you can bring some of your favorite NPCs from Baldur’s Gate to your games of Stardew Valley. And familiar locations as well.
The mod is quite extensive. It doesn’t just add NPCs, there are new locations, new quest lines. It can all even end in matrimony if you play your cards right. Which isn’t too surprising, considering the love the md developers have for everyone’s favorite bloodsucker, Astarion.
Baldur’s Gate 3 and Stardew Valley? In This Economy?
And that bit about marriage isn’t hyperbole either. It’s one of the big features of the mod—you and Astarion can end up in wedded bliss:
“A new village has recently been built north of Pelican Town, and its new residents seem… rather unusual. You can find the entrance to Baldur’s Village at the top of the southern mountain map, right next to Linus’ tent.
Baldur’s Village is a large expansion mod for Stardew Valley, inspired by Baldur’s Gate 3. It introduces a brand-new village map and NPCs while staying true to the game’s original atmosphere. Among them, Astarion features a fully developed personal storyline and is available for marriage.”
Aside from vampiric nuptials, the mod adds more than twenty new characters, all beautifully drawn in Stardew‘s style. You’ll also find 6 new locations, new shops with special items, dynamic events, and “even more” according to the devs. I guess you’ll have to play to uncover the secrets.
But this is just the first wave of things planned. The mod team is apparently hard at work doing more—including making Halsin a romanceable option. So, you could say the spirit of Baldur’s Gate 3 is alive and well.
If you look closely on the mod page, you can find a few knowing nods to Act 1, including what appears to be the most infamous barn in all the realms. Though the door is already wide open. So who knows what else may have wandered in by now?
