Didn’t we just see these? Sort of. The Heavy Support of the Mechanicum is rolling out on a new EPIC scale with Legions Imperialis.
If you’re a fan of the Mechanicum in Legions Imperialis you’re in luck! There’s a new box heading to the tabletop to help add some firepower to your games. The Heavy Support of the Krios Squadron box is coming in hot.

Krios Squadron
The Krios Squadron is a box of six tanks which can be built with your choice of several horrible weapons from the Tech-Priests of Mars. It comes with six trusty lightning cannons and four nasty rad-scourers.
Four pulsar-fusils and their accompanying shielding are also on the sprue, in order to make four Krios Venators instead. These relatively short-range weapons transform the mobile Krios chassis into a high-speed tank hunter. All variants come equipped with volkite caliver sponsons.
It’s almost like the Horus Heresy version of these got hit with a shrink ray. Given the fact that they are releasing shortly after the larger versions were released, I do wonder what sort of technical wizardry at GW they pulled off here. I’m not complaining!
Karacnos Assault Tank Squadron
Additionally, there’s also the Karacnos Assault Tank Squadron which is being released, too. All that’s missing from this wave is a big robot… Anyhow, this set also comes with those mortar batteries which can be modeled open or closed.
The rules for all these miniatures can be found in the Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Legions Imperialis – The Rise of the Dark Mechanicum book. They can be fielded as either loyalist or as part of the Dark Mechanicum forces. Which side will you choose to field your Mechanicum reinforcements on?
Man, that was a fast turn around from GW with both sizes of these kits!
