The Kickstarter for the ALIEN RPG 2E has blown past its initial funding goal, on track to hit over a million in its first week.
In space, no one can hear you scream. But hear on Earth, you might be able to hear some screaming if you drive past the offices of Free League, whose ALIEN RPG 2E has launched on Kickstarter to massive success.
Calling it Alien: Evolved Edition, the 2nd Edition of the ALIEN RPG collates five+ years worth of lessons, fan feedback, and updates to the ALIEN RPG and gives the award-winning formula a fresh coat of paint. But it’s not just updated rules, there’s new ships, new paradigms, and of course, new xenos with plenty more horrific ways to die in space.
Little wonder then, that the Kickstarter has already raised, at press time, $701,851. And that’s just the first few hours. It will almost certainly hit a million in its first week, if not on this, the first day of the Kickstarter.
ALIEN RPG 2E Kickstarter
The Evolved Edition Kickstarter expands the game so much. In addition to the rules updates, mentioned above and in the run-up to the Kickstarter launch, you’ll find new ways to play. The Last Survivor is solo mode play for the game. Designed by Shawn Tomkins and Matt Click, both of whom have won ENnies for their work in this very mode, have an ALIEN ruleset for you.
But that’s not all. The ALIEN RPG 2E Kickstarter also includes a whole bunch of new miniatures. That’s right. Xenomorphs and more will soon be available to terrorize your tabletop at scale. This is another big one for Free League. And the ALIEN RPG in general.
Of course, you can also check out the deeper dive into the cinematic world of ALIEN: Romulus, thanks to the new ship plans and locations included in the Kickstarter.
And that’s saying nothing of the many stretch goals that have already been unlocked, including:
- Skirmish Battle Rules
- Alien Facehugger Miniatures
- Lifepath Character Creation System
With plenty more to go. So, as this Kickstarter screams into the void on a Weyland-Yutani engineered ship, possibly inhabited by a murderous android filled with milk, you won’t want to miss out.
See you in space!
Don’t Miss:
