We’ve got the new Requesting Your Surrender Squad Pack in hand and we’ve got the miniatures built. It’s Shatterpoint time!

Things are getting heated on the tabletop as more Jedi and Clones get released. Atomic Mass Games sent me a copy of the new Requesting Your Surrender Squad Pack and I got a chance to unbox it and build the miniatures. Let’s see what Kit Fisto’s squad can do!

Requesting Your Surrender Unboxing

Kicking things off, we’ve got the typical packaging from an AMG product. Once again, we’ve got all the cards in their own bag and the Sprues in a separate one. The Sprue bag also has the bases included — of which you get two sets. You should have plenty bases to out fit this squad.

As for the cards, we get full play sets in each supported language. We already did a deeper dive on these characters as well as their stance cards. Give that a read if you’d like even more info on them.

In the above picture we’ve got two of the Kit Fisto Cards showing because it’s double-sided. All the others are single-sided as they only have the one stance per character/unit.

With the Sprues everything is on a single base. I’m impressed AMG crammed this entire squad onto a single sprue. And also we get the two sets of four bases for the unit. Now…on to the actual miniatures!

Kit Fisto

Kit Fisto’s miniature is pretty dynamic. He’s hopping off of a weird antler/rock/helmet thing. I was a little worried that he’s be imbalanced when complete but it’s actually pretty stable. I do wish I had positioned the bottom more towards an edge but unfortunately part of his miniature is just going to be off the base no matter what you do. Other than that I don’t have any major tips on the build for this one as it was pretty straight-forward. Maybe be mindful of the head assembly. That’s about it.

Nahdar Vebb

Of all the miniatures in this set Nahdar Vebb was probably the toughest to build. That’s mostly because I use plastic glue for these instead of superglue. I noticed when I was trying to attach the cape to the miniature the arms wanted to pop out. That was a little annoying. I would say just take your time on this one and let the bits set before you try and add the cap. And probably attach the head last.

Clone Commander Fil

Commander Fil was pretty easy to build. I might go back and swap the base out after seeing the gap on the bottom. Or I might just use some glue/basing to cover it up. Maybe don’t do what I did and use a different, flatter base on this one. Still, I like the miniature overall. He was an easy build and looks pretty cool and commanding.

Fil’s Clones

As for Fil’s Clones, these were also an easy build. Lining up the arms and the hand holding the blasters was easy. I did use some super glue for the feet touching the base on both of these miniatures. It just set faster so I didn’t have to hold them. These clones look like clone troopers and that’s exactly what you want!

Overall, I do like the look of this unit. This box does come with two Secondary Units with Vebb and Commander Fill. So that’s a nice way to fill out your roster. If you’re wanting to run a Jedi Heavy list or a bunch of clones in your Shatterpoint games this box is a solid pick-up.
