Chaos abounds next week – Death Guard and World Eaters get new Codexes, Battleforce Boxes, and Combat Patrols!

Chaos is seductive. It is powerful. It has the promise of being able to break the chains of the false Emperor and to let your greatest desires feed. Be they wrath, pleasure, or simply living a good, and fecund life. Either way, you can experience Chaos for yourself as part of next week’s pre-orders.

There is a veritaable avalanche of Chaos releases. Two new codexes. Two new battleforce boxes. And three new combat patrols. There’s something for everyone. Except for the Great Horned Rat. But you know, that’s a different franchise.

Chaos Pre-Order Releases – Death Guard, World Eaters, and Emperor’s Children

Kick off the Chaos with the hardiest boys, the Death Guard. Blessed by Nurgle, they can endure things that would kill most anything else. Sure, they’re rotten to the core, and riddled with plagues enough to kill anything that isn’t them, but hey, in the Codex you can find out about all the new friends they’ve made.

You’ll also find rule for six Detachments, Combat Patrols, and Crusade rules, as well as datasheets for everyone of Mortarion’s favorites.

The Death Guard battleforce box comes with a Lord of Poxes, seven Plague Marines, five Blight Lord Terminators, and three Daemon Engines (a Foetid Bloat-Drone, Myphitic Blight-Hauler, and Plagueburst Crawler). This is the first place you can pick up the new Lord of Poxes, but it won’t be the last.

Or grab the new Death Guard Combat Patrol and unleash a Lord of Virulence, a Tallyman, three Deathshroud Terminators, seven Plague Marines, and a Chaos Rhino. Pear tree not included.

Meanwhile, the World Eaters have their own new book which might help them sort out their anger issues. Which is good, because they have a lot, being Khorne’s favorite legion and all. In this codex, you’ll find rules for five Detachments, Combat Patrol and Crusade, as well as all the custommary datasheets. But they’re 10% angrier than normal, because, you know, Khorne.

In the World Eater battleforce box, you’ll find so much anger bound up in a few handfuls of miniatures, depending on how big your hands are. You’ll get the new Slaughterbound, an ironic nine different Eightbound (who can be built as Exalted Eightbound), and twenty Jakhals.

Or snag the World Eaters combat patrol and pick up a Daemon Prince, Master of Executions, and a pack of 10 Khorne Berzerkers and 10 Jakhals to get in there, rip and tear, and most importantly, collect skulls for the skull throne.

Even the Emperor’s Children get in on the Combat Patrol action. Their codex is out already. But now, you can pick up a Lord Exultant, six Flawless Blades, and ten Infractors to show your opponents that hedonism can be deadly too. Especially when you mix up an inadvisable cocktail of recreational combat drugs.

All this, next week!
