Next week, the Brayherds of the Old World Arrive, along with a spearhead of Spearhead sets for Age of Sigmar and its new General’s Handbook.
Next week is a big one for the various fantasy worlds of Warhammer. Over in the Mortal Realms of the Age of Sigmar, it is a Spearhead spectacular accompanying the pre-order launch of the new General’s Handbook. Meanwhile, in the Old World, it is Brayherds, braying and herding and preparing for battle with new miniatures and returning favorites, made to order. So if you want to get some fantasy flavor this week, you’re in luck.
AoS – Spearheads And General’s Handbook

The next wave of Age of Sigmar is here, with the pre-order release of the 2025-2026 General’s Handbook. This is the newest update for Matched Play rules, and has all sorts of changes. Including new Battle Tactics, Battleplans, and Universal Manifestations.

But what good are new rules without miniatures to play them with. Fortunately, there’s a warhost of new Spearheads goingup for pre-order alongside the new General’s Handbook. Starting with the Spearhead Sand & Bone Gaming Pack. This takes you into the Realm of Death with six terrain pieces themed around Shyish, a new 24-page battlepack, and rules for four new Spearhead forces.

Spearhead: Sunblooded Prowlers is a Seraphon Overlords pack that comes complete with 24 miniatures all in all. You get 10 Saurus Warriors, along with two units of 5 Huanchi, three units of Terrawings, all backed up by a Spawn of Chotec.

In Spearhead: Fusil-platoon, you’ll bring the strength of the Cities of Sigmar to bear on the battlefield – and that is the strength of excessive firepower. In this boxed set you get a Fusil-Major on Ogor Warhulk leading the charge backed up by an Alchemite Warforger, 11 Wildercorps Hunters, and 10 Freeguild Fusiliers.

Spearhead: Mortisan Elite is all about the power of the Ossifectors. You get three mighty Immortis Guard, three Necropolis Stalkers, and two Morghast Archai. All lead and monitored by a Mortisan Ossifector who can maintain them all mid-battle.

Unleash the power of the every hungry Ogors with Spearhead: Scrapglutt. Led by a fearsome Mantrapper, you’ll also get eight Ironguts, 12 Gnoblars, and the Gnoblar Scraplauncher. All ready to make sure meat’s back on the menu. Whoevers, whatevers doesn’t really matter.
The Old World: A Braying Herd Of Brayherds

In the Old World, we get a look at Brayherds new and old. Starting with their new Arcane Journal. This will let you expand the Beastmen Brayherds from the Ravening Hordes book with a full 48-page supplement. In it you’ll find rules for two named characters, Kralmaw, the Prophet of Ruin, and Ghorros Warhoof, as well as two new Armies of Infamy.

Kick it all off with a big new battle box, with the Beastmen Brayherds Battalion. This massive box gives you 61 miniatures to take to the fields. Well. Tabletop. In it you’ll find two units of 15 Gors, as well as 30 Ungors, and a single massive Ghorgon which can also be built as a rock-flinging Cygor.

Or lead them all to victory with Kralmaw, the Prophet of Ruin. Blessed with the gift of foresight, he is a master of Dark and Primal magic and can cast the Devolve spell through a special Leering Spirit marker.

And along with the rest of the Beastmen Brayherds releases, there are several returning miniatures. These include the Beastmen Brayherds Lords, which come with Chieftain and Bray-Shaman in plastic, or the Forge World resin version of the Doombull.

You can also get classic infantry models, with returning Ungors, Gors, Bestigors, and Minotaurs. Or pick up some of the returning Monsters, like the Cockatrice, Cygor/Ghorgon, and Jabberslythe.

And finally Ghorros Warhoof returns in all his metal glory, alongside a herd of Centigors, Centigor Lords, and Tuskgor Chariots.
All this, next week!
