Wizards of the Coast revealed the details of the upcoming Commander Party events for the Magic: The Gathering – Final Fantasy set season.
The Final Fantasy Commander Parties will feature a flavorful mechanics twist to Commander gameplay. Players will be able to create a Hero token during games that they can use to complete quests, earn reward triggers, and possibly win a game. They will have a static ability in the game that allows them to pay two colorless mana to create a 1/1 Hero creature token. If they control the Hero during the End Step, they can use to complete a Quest and trigger a random reward off the Rewards card. If the player completes all five Quests, they win the game.
The Commander Party also feature two new promos for players: a full-art Despark and a full-art Culling Ritual. These promos can be given away at events run during either of the two windows to run a Commander Party: June 20-26, 2025 and July 18-24, 2025.
