WizKids has a new miniature that gives us all a look at the “final boss” of the upcoming Dragon Delves adventure anthology.

WizKids unveiled a new miniature this week – a big badass Blue Dragon. And unlike most dragons, this one comes equipped with weapons and everything. It’s one of the coolest dragon miniatures we’ve seen out of WizKids, though oddly enough, you won’t find the dragon – Anthradusk – out for pre-order directly from them just yet. Here’s what we know!

WizKids’ New Blue Dragon Anthradusk Is A Final Boss For Sure

Originally spotted via ICv2, Anthradusk is a blue dragon that comes straight from the upcoming Dragon Delves. Anthradusk is the “final boss” of Dragons of Sandstone City, the final adventure in the book. Aimed at 12th level characters, Anthradusk is the captsone creature in the whole collection. Not only is he a blue dragon, he’s a mystic blue dragon who is trying to enact a ritual to herald a dark new era.

So naturally, he looks extremely cool in miniature form. Including wielding a unique pendulum blade on his tail. Without spoiling too much, I will say you’ll probably want to put a little bit of work into figuring out what exactly that does, because the book doesn’t do him as many favors as you’d want.

Nevertheless, Anthradusk is one of the coolest dragon miniatures I’ve seen. I love the personality that he shows, and even his use of like dragon armor ad weapons makes him stand out among other miniatures. Blue dragons have always been my favorite of the chromatic, so it feels like this is a boon to me personally – but it’s nice to see dragons other than red and gold get some time in the spotlight.

“Swoop down on your gaming table with Anthradusk, a terrifying ancient blue dragon with a unique, fearsome weapon grafted to his tail. Anthradusk stands 8 inches tall on top of a 100mm clear base.

D&D Icons of the Realms: Anthradusk, Ancient Blue Dragon includes a removable lightning breath weapon.”

So far, WizKids doesn’t have Anthradusk up for pre-order, but we were able to track down a retail version that goes for $124.99, which includes a Tariff Surcharge. You can learn more about the additional cost at the link below. I suspect this won’t be the last we see of these additional costs.
