From the clear skies to the dark seas, we’ve got another host of warrior minis heading for the Realms, this time for the Idoneth Deepkin.
Welcome in, Generals of the Realms! The sky isn’t the only thing you have to watch in battle; sometimes a cloying mist brings the horrors of the deep to the battlefield. That’s what happens when you go up against the Idoneth Deepkin, the dour elves of the abyss. The war in Ghyran has shaken the foundations of the Realms, and even the deep oceans are feeling the shockwaves. To combat the growing threat, they’ve unleashed a few of their deadliest warriors and spells to bring to bear against their enemies.

Ikon
Akhelian warriors who push their skills past the limits may find themselves harmonizing with one of the powerful Eidolons of the deep. Warriors who lead with the ocean’s fury, for example, may become Ikons of the Sea. These warriors wield massive two-handed glaives, and can pull their allies forward in a deadly wave of steel. These furious generals crash into the enemy like a tidal wave, and few can stand before their fury.

Warriors who prefer a more solitary approach may find their blades saturated with the wild gales of a sea tempest. These Ikons of the Storm wield a pair of powerful falchions, and fall upon their enemies like a hurricane. They are deadly executioners of battle, and to face them is to face the fury of the wild sea winds. If even a ship can’t survive the onslaught, what hope do enemy warriors have?
Mathaela, Oracle of the Abyss
The Ishrann are the mage-priest sect of the Idoneth, able to bind the tides to their will and collect the souls of those they slay to empower their own followers. Blind Namarti thralls follow in their wake, guided by the ethereal hand of these enigmatic leaders. However, the greatest of their number is Mathaela. She lives in the deepest reaches of Ghyran’s oceans and has only recently risen to the surface. As with all things from so dark and deep a place, she is a terror for her enemies and a balm for her allies. The mists feel just a little heavier when she takes the field.
Incarnate of the Deep
The Incarnate of Ghur has had a stranglehold on the Living Realm market since its introduction. While other Incarnates were mentioned in lore, we never saw them on the tabletop. Well, the Idoneth look to change that by bringing a beasty from the depths; namely, the Depths themselves! The Incarnate of the Deep is a living manifestation of the ocean’s fury, and it certainly looks the part. Taking the form of a massive Levithan, the living wave is a deadly foe to face in battle. Your enemies won’t know what hit them when this snake-headed monstrosity crashes down on them.
What do you think of the new models?
