The new Idoneth Deepkin miniatures are coming to pre-order today and we’ve got them in the studio! Time for an up close look at them.
There’s a new wave of Idoneth Deepkin miniatures making a splash this weekend from Games Workshop. We’ve got the in the studio and have assembled them. Let’s take a closer look at what these fantastic new models will look like in your hands!
Mathaela, Oracle of the Abyss
GW has been teasing this miniature’s release for a while and Mathaela is finally here. With a school of deadly look ethersea fish at their feet and some crazy ribbons flowing off an intricate headdress, Mathaela cuts a striking silhouette. I like this miniature quite a bit and I appreciate how dynamic the pose is. It’s very flowy and looks spindly-but-stable. Mathaela is sure to be a useful spell slinger on the tabletop!
Ikon of the Sea
The Icon of the Sea is up next and we opted for this version and not the other option. This miniature can also be built as the new Ikon of the Storm, too. Personally, I like the large glaive look as it seems very imposing. It’s neat that this miniature also has the wave flowing up below and the Ikon is leaping off of it. There’s a cinematic action scene happening with this miniature.
Idoneth Deepkin: Manifestations
Finally, we have the BIG new miniature. This is the new Manifestation — the Incarnate of the Deep! It comes with the massive Incarnate miniature as well as two tendrils lashing around. I really like this one! There’s a lot going on with the miniature as you’ve got this sort of sea-monster face combined with the wave. And then within the wave you’ve got all sorts of shells and debris inside that’s been collected. Plus you’ve got the two tendrils that are on their own, too. It’s a really great miniature and I can’t wait to see what the hobby community does with this one!
