Steamforged Games is back with a new Epic Encounters set coming out this October. The Steelborn are on the move!

I’m a big fan of Epic Encounters and have been fairly vocal about how good these products are. So when Steamforged announced a new set was coming I wanted to help spread the word. It helps that the minis in this one are looking excellent. If you’ve been wanting some machines forged for war in your arsenal then you’re going to want to check out these new sets!

These two new Epic Encounters Sets have a release date of October 7, 2025 and are up for Pre-Order now. Let’s take a quick look at the miniatures for both.

Epic Encounters: Sanctuary of the Steelborn $54.99

As always, the Epic Encounters come in pairs. While you don’t have to play them in order, if you’re looking for a quick and interconnected story running them back-to-back is a great way to do that. The “intro” encounter is the Sanctuary of the Steelborn. This set features 20 miniatures with the 7 unique sculpts you see above. It also comes with the encounter book, a double-sided battle map, and is fully 5e-compatible. And let’s not beat around the bush here: these are some of the best looking miniatures to represent Warforged I’ve seen yet. I’m sure creative Game Masters out there will find a use for them in their campaigns.

Epic Encounters: The Titans Vigil $54.99

The second set is the Titans Vigil which features the massive Titan miniature. It’s on a 120mm base for reference! Again, you’ve got the encounter book, a double-sided battle map, and extra tokens to represent the Steelborn if you don’t have the previous set. Each encounter can be run independently if you just wanted to use them as one-offs. But c’mon…who doesn’t want to see how this massive Titan fight fits into the greater narrative you’re weaving.

Another Epic Win

Honestly, at the price point you’re paying for these I can’t see any downsides. The minis look great and are either pre-assembled or super fast to build. Typically the large miniatures in these sets do require some minimal assembly but you don’t even need glue or hobby tools. Additionally, the encounter books are a lifeline for a busy Game Master. I’ve personally used these to run sessions for my group with 10 minutes of prep time. I have quite literally opened the box, read through the encounter book, and then felt prepared enough to run the session.

It really doesn’t hurt to have these adventures in your metaphorical back pocket when you need a session idea on the go. Plus the minis are just cool looking. Could you use a bunch of different Warforged minis in your collection? I know I could!

Keep an eye out for these Epic Encounters coming in October!
