There are more threats out there for Marvel: Crisis Protocol to tap into. Here’s a few we’d love to see join the tabletop!

Blade is a pretty iconic character in Marvel. That’s in no small part to Wesley Snipes and his portrayal of the Daywalker. Last year, we also had a big Marvel Comics event with Blood Hunt that featured Blade heavily. To top it all off, Blade joined Marvel Rivals in digital form this past weekend. It’s almost like he’s having a moment in the sun.

Anyhow, I started to think about Blade and his group affiliationsin Marvel: Crisis Protocol. While he’s in both the Avengers and Defenders, he’s one of the leaders in the Midnight Sons group. That got me thinking further about enemies that could take on this supernatural group of heroes. So let’s get into them!

Lilith

SPIRITS OF GHOST RIDER: MOTHER OF DEMONS #1 preview art by Roland Boschi and Dan Brown

There’s actually two different characters named Lilith in Marvel Comics. Dracula’s daughter and Lilith, the Mother of All Demons in the Marvel Comics. Honestly, either version could work but I wanted to talk about Lilith, the Mother of All Demons for this list. Honestly, she’d really more of a Ultimate Encounter-level character. But I’m a big fan of playing those so I’m all for that!

It’s also worth noting she was one of the Big Bads in the video game Marvel’s Midnight Suns, who’s name I often get confused with the Marvel group the Mightnight Sons. Anyhow, I think she’d be a great character to add plus we could get a bunch of Lilin (her demonic offspring). Or they could be a Grunt-type addition.

Nightmare

I’ve written about Nightmare as a Doctor Strange foe before. But guess who’s also a member of the Midnight Sons — or at least an occasional one. Yep, Doctor Strange. On top of that, if we can get Mephisto in the game why can’t get get Nightmare? He is a Fear Lord after all. The point is he’s a big threat, could be an Ultimate Encounter, and more importantly he could totally be a problem the Midnight Sons would need to solve!

Blackheart

Hey, speaking of Mephisto, why not make this a family affair? Blackheart has been teased on a Team Tactic card already. I figure at this point it’s only a matter of time before he shows up. Personally, I really hope he joins the game with a few of these other characters and we get a crazy Team Demon affiliation. That would be kind of bonkers.

Morgan Le Fay

Morgan Le Fay is another one of those characters that shows up on the more mystical side of Marvel Comics. She’s actually a classic villain based on the Arthurian Legend. And she’s also no stranger to many of the big names in Marvel. She’s dealt with the Avengers, Doctor Doom, and even become the Queen of Otherworld. Saying she’s a potent mystical threat is an understatement. I think the Midnight Sons gathering to take her on would be quite fitting. And maybe we could get Doctor Doom in there, too.

Morbius

Morbius is actually one of the MEMBERS of the Midnight Sons. But he wasn’t always considered a good guy. He started as bit of a tragic foe of Spider-Man before he saw the error of his ways. That said, he did help to usher in the entire Midnights Sons storylines/group and is often one of the leaders. Maybe he doesn’t belong on a group of villains to face off against them…But we live in a post-Morbin’ Time reality. I’d love to see Blade take some shots at Morbius — even if it’s just on the tabletop.

What Supernatural threats would you like to see show up in Marvel: Crisis Protocol to do battle with the Midnights Sons?
