Pathfinder will soon release a pocket-sized version of its remastered Treasure Vault. Meaning you can get a slimmed down treasure trove.
Pathfinder 2E is a game that really, really wants you to find magic items and other treasure. The game’s core math revolves around you being able to enhance your items and supplement your character with the powers gained from having the right gear. It makes it fun, and makes every campaign an exercise in exploration and hoping to pull just the right loot from the dragon’s hoard.
Not long ago, the old Pathfinder Treasure Vault got the Remastered treatment. Meaning it was updated to move a lot of old favorite Pathfinder items into the new 2E ruleset—remastered because they get a little less OGL and a little more Paizo’s own system. And now, the Pocket-Sized guide is a slimmer—and for the both space and budget-conscious player—cheaper version of the full book. Slimmed down to fit in a backpack, the palm of your hand, or a pocket if you have really good pockets. But it’s anyone’s guess, because pockets that don’t hold anything are an epidemic in every aisle of the store these days.
Pathfinder Treasure Vault Remastered – Pocket Edition
This slimmed down softcover still weighs in at a hefty 224-pages. So even then, it’s still going to be a hefty book. But for a tome of magical items and new/reimagined pieces of gear, that’s kind of what you want. There are 600 items all in all, from across the various categories of items, equipment, consumables and more.
You might experiment with alchemical lozenges that offer soothing, healing benefits. Or turn on a flamethrower and roast your enemies. Unleash deadly poisons. You name it, you can probably find it within.
“Pathfinder Treasure Vault (Remastered) reveals the glittering hoard of a terrifying dragon, as presented by the creature’s plucky kobold assistant. This 224-page hardcover rulebook presents a catalog of gear from nearly every category of equipment and magic item available in the Pathfinder RPG, updated to work perfectly with the remastered Pathfinder Second Edition rules! Give your character the perfect tool for the job with signature weapons, customizable relics, and wondrous items to fit your every need while preparing for any eventuality with potions, elixirs, wands, and more.”
There are new categories of weapons, including the Earthbreaker Hammer and Falcata, as well as new materials for shields and armor. And of course, there’s a whole collection of magical tattoos and powerful new artifacts to play with. It’s all the same stuff in the full-sized book, just a lot more portable, and a bit more affordable too.
So much shiny!
