The Imperium has some big reinforcements on the way with the new Knight Questoris and two new Space Marine Characters.
Get ready for the new Imperial Knight codex to (finally) arrive. The Knight Questoris kit is the revamped Knight with some new firepower. Plus, we’ve got Darnath Lysander and Aethon Shaan built and in the studio. It’s a great time to be a fan of the Imperium. Big bots and big names are coming to preorder this weekend. Our very own Goatboy assembled these miniatures. So let’s quit stalling and check out the new kits up close!
Imperial Knight Questoris
The Knight Questoris is the revamped Knight kit. It’s got a few new options for fans of the Imperial Knights to dabble with. There’s a new sprue that allows you to now assemble the Knight Defender that includes a conversion beam obliterator, a plasma executor, and phosphor blaster. And, because this is basically the same kit we’ve all come to know, you can still build the following classic versions if you want:
- Knight Paladin
- Knight Crusader
- Knight Warden
- Knight Errant
- Knight Gallant
- Chaos Knight Despoiler
It’s almost a one stop shop for the Knights now.
Captain Darnath Lysander
So we’ve finally gotten a glow-up for the legendary Imperial Fist Captain Darnath Lysander. This hero of the Imperium is once again packing the Fist of Dorn Thunderhammer and is looking large and in charge. That’s fitting considering he’s the Captain of the First Company. With his terminator armor he’s ready to lead the charge into battle and bring the (literal) hammer down on the enemies of the Emperor!
I like the details on Lysander and I appreciate the up-sizing he got as well. The miniature really is a worthy update to the classic hero. And seriously, that shield is just nuts.
Aethon Shaan of the Raven Guard
I’ll be honest, I’m still not 100% sure why the Raven Guard needed a new Chapter Master. I mean, I’ve read the lore and understand why Shrike wanted to step back. However, I didn’t even know Space Marine Chapter Masters COULD resign and go back to other duties. Like…that was an option?! I thought they had to die to get a replacement!
Anyhow, Aethon Shaan has some big shoes (or maybe claws?) to fill. I actually do think this model is a good for the Raven Guard. It’s also a Chapter Master in full on Primaris Mark X Tacticus Armor instead of the more sleek Phobos Pattern. I also like the Jump Pack as it looks a different than the standard versions. Plus the feathers, claws, and uh…ribbons(?) look good.
I also appreciate that both of these Space Marine character come with various head options. Personally, I’m a “wear a helmet in to battle” modeler. But I do like the hood option for Aethon. But you do you!
