It’s a battleforce box bonanza next week, as both Warhammer 40K and Age of Sigmar get their big boxes for preorder!
The annual Warhammer Battleforce bash is soon to be underway, with big boxes full of miniatures for some of your favorite factions from across the Warhammer universes. Both Warhammer 40K and Age of Sigmar have showings in full force next weekend, with eleven different battleforce boxes between them. Come see if your favorite faction has a box!
Warhammer 40K Battleforce Boxes

It all kicks off with a new Astra Militarum battleforce box. This time it’s the Death Korps of Krieg assembling a deadly Siege Platoon. Inside, you’ll find a Lord Commissar, a five-man Krieg Command Squad, a five-man Krieg Combat Engineer team, 20 Death Korps of Krieg (who can be split into two squads of 10), and two Artillery Teams.

The Chaos Space Marines brandish their heretical powers, tempered in the Soul Forges by only the most depraved weapon-smiths. This battleforce box contains a Lord Discordant, a Venomcrawler, two Obliterators, five Havocs, 10 Legionaries, and a Chaos Rhino.

If you prefer a more stylish flavor of heresy, you could always grab the Emperor’s Children battleforce box. Then you can go all out with the Primarch, Fulgrim himself in full daemonic glory, accompanied by six Noise Marines and six Flawless Blades.

The Leagues of Votann, on the other hand, have advanced technology that doesn’t rely on daemons. Their battleforce is about the Cthonians, led by a Brôkhyr Iron-master and a team of three Brôkhyr Thunderkyn, along with an Ironkin Assistant and three E-COG drones, backed up by 10 Cthonian Beserks, a Kapricus Defender (that can alternatively be built as a Kapricus Carrier), and two Cthonian Earthshakers.

And the (mostly) non-heretical Space Marines have a battleforce box that emphasizes their heavier weaponry. You’ll get a Captain and his attendant Company Heroes, as well as a Lieutenant, a Ballistus Dreadnought, a Redemptor Dreadnought, five Sternguard Veterans, and five Hellblasters.

Everyone’s favorite cool sword, cool mecha combo leads up the Farsight Enclave battleforce box. As you might expect, it features the one an only Commander Farsight, as well as a Broadside Battlesuit, three Crisis Battlesuits, and a Riptide Battlesuit, all with various drones.

Rounding out the 40K battleforce boxes are the big bad bugs of a Tyranid Crusher Stampede. You’ll get a Neurotyrant with two Neuroloid companions, as well as a Screamer-Killer, a Tyrannofex (that can instead be built as a Tervigon), a Haruspex (that can also be built as an Exocrine), and a Maleceptor (that you may choose to build as a Toxicrene).
Age of Sigmar Battleforce Boxes

Meanwhile the Age of Sigmar is out in force. Battleforce that is. Starting with the Gloomspite Gitz, specifically the Troggiths of Dankhold. They are led by Trugg, the Troggoth King, as well as a Dankhold Troggoth (which can be assembled as a Troggboss instead) three Fellwater Troggoths and six Rockgut Troggoths.

The Skaven skitter in droves in their battleforce box. The Skyre Warp-swarm brings to bear much of their ingenuity: in the box you’ll find one Arch-Warlock, five Acolyte Globadiers, three Warplock Jezzail teams, three Warpspark Weapon Batteries, a Ratling Warpblaster and a retinue of 20 Stormvermin.

The Soulblight Vampires are out with their crimson lances and legions of undead. Blood Knights abound as do undead dragons. In this box you get ten Blood Knights and three Fell Bats, all led by Prince Vhordrai, who can instead be assembled as a Revenant Draconith.

Finally, the Sylvaneth display their wrath through the Outcast Spitegrove. This bristly bunch of brambles will mess you up. Starting with a towering spirit-warrior, 20 Dryads, 15 Spite-Revenants (that can instead be built as Tree-Revenants), and an enormous Treelord that can be assembled as the reborn Spirit of Durthu.
All this, next week!
