The Skitarii Battle-Pilgryms are coming to the Horus Heresy. Now we just need those other spider-bots from the Dark Mechanicum to show up!

I know everyone saw the preview by now, right? The big story there is the Skitarii are coming to the tabletop. They certainly look like the predecessors of the 40k versions of them and I’m here for that.

While I am excited to see these versions show up on the tabletop I’m looking for yet more goodies for the Mechanicum. Or rather, the DARK Mechanicum to show up. “But you can already play them in the Horus Heresy …kinda.” Yeah, I know. But we all know what I’m talking about and what I’m asking for here:

These are the Serperos ‘Overlord’ Heavy Stalkers from Legions Imperialis. And I want to see them show up for the Horus Heresy scale! I’m still not entirely sure what GW is waiting on to be honest.

Look, I’m just staying that if GW can hit the contents of the Saturnine Boxed set with the ol’ Shrink Ray and put them in Legions Imperialis, then I’m pretty sure they can flip the switch and make the Serperos kit bigger. And yes, I know it’s not that simple. GW doesn’t actually have a Shrink Ray…right?

Obviously not…right? But what they do have is these miniatures mocked-up in some sort of digital format. I’m pretty sure that GW knows how to scale those files up (or down). Heck, I’d bet they likely had the Serperos kit sculpted in the standard scale and then scaled down. It’s probably just two different files. I mean, that’s what I would have done — it just makes the most sense. Start with the max resolution and then scale down…

Anyhow, the point I’m trying to make is that the Skitarii are coming and I’m hoping that the Seperos aren’t far behind them. As well as other crazy Dark Mechanicum contraptions after that. I don’t know how far GW is going to push them though. For the time period I’m sure there is only so far they would go towards the “modern” chaos look. They probably have more creepy-bots and not quite as many spikes.

Okay…maybe a few more spikes.

Where are those Dark Mechanicum spider-bots at, GW?!
