Mantic Games has kicked off their Black Friday Sale and you can score some great games for up to 50% off!
In case you didn’t know (or lived under a rock) Black Friday is this week. Now, I shouldn’t have to explain what Black Friday is or how it’s a massive sales day for retail. This “holiday” sale has changed a lot over time. Anyhow, lots of stores and companies are running Black Friday deals all week in some cases now. This is kind of an effort to get ahead of the rush I think. But that point I’m trying to get at is that Mantic Games already has a sale going on and there’s a lot of game you can get at a discount from them right now.

There’s quite a selection of games available here. If you’re looking for some quick games to try I recommend “…:The Dice Game” options. These are 10$ on sale and are pretty straight forward dice games that don’t require a ton of explanation but do have some fun stories to play through.
If you’re looking for something a bit more RPG/Adventure-y then the “Dungeon Saga Origins” series is a great place to start. The best bang for your buck is to play them in order so start with the Core Game. Then each of the expansion is the next chapter in the series. It’s not unlike HeroQuest, but with the Mantic spin.
The setting is their own game world of Pannithor so if you’re already familiar with Kings of War then this should ring a bell. I do recommend this one for play groups of 1-4 and for families with kids aged +10 as well.
Finally, if you’re looking for some licensed game goodies, Mantic also has a pretty good selection here. There’s Umbrella Academy: The Board Game, Hellboy: The Board Game, The Walking Dead: All Out War set, and a pair of Worms: The Board Game options, too. Honestly, the miniatures in all the sets that have them are already worth the price of admission in my head. The fact they are all games/expansions to the game is just a cherry on top.
The Walking Dead: All Out War – 2024 Collector’s Edition is a particularly loaded set for the price. Who doesn’t need a set of modern zombies for the TTRPG nights? I know I could find a use for those…
