All hail the new Ultramarines! This past weekend saw players getting a chance to try them out and the fears feel a bit warranted.  You throw in a unit with ton of wounds, movement tricks, and OC into Ultramarines and you got a recipe for some brutal death punches.  This is a rough Space Marines mix up and something I am sure will get answered whenever we get a new data slate and maybe some updates to Marines.

Innes Wilson won the Celtic Cup Grand Tournament in Scotland.  It was a 99 player event with 6 rounds.  Innes is one of the best players around and if he is on the Victrix pain train you know they are good.  This unit just dares your opponent to try and mess with it.

Uriel & Victrix Guard Tactics

Here you see how Uriel and Calgar with Grav armor join up to their own Victrix units and are just pains in the butt to remove.  Uriel gives the unit Deep Strike and the ability to have a Vect like aura (making opponents stratagems cost 1CP more) to cause headaches.  You then have the powerful Vindicators doing the lords work, the Hammerstrikes removing cover, and of course Robute causing problems in the middle of the table.  The super friends are here and we just have to see if their points stay the same when we see an update.

I get the feeling they will as whatever has been decided will most likely not include any Blue Meanie data.  I do like the list and how no nonsense it is.  Just a bunch of brutal efficient jerks and the friends that help them score missions.  It seems like a fun list to wreck your tournament with and creates a lot of hard decisions for your opponent to deal with.
