Once again this is just a friendly reminder to our readers in the USA. Games Workshop’s shipping cut-off date is TODAY.

If you were waiting until the last minute to place an online order in hopes of getting it before Christmas, well, TODAY is the last minute. I know I’ve sounded this alarm before but I’m just hoping to save someone out there the heartache of not giving the gift they want to give.

Forget The FOMO And Get A Gift Card

If you’re out of gift ideas and short on time (because of the shipping crunch) then I’d like to recommend a Gift Card/Voucher. I know GW sells them for online purchases. But more importantly this will ensure that the gamer in your life can order exactly what they want from the Warhammer Store. Alternatively, most FLGS will ALSO sell Gift Cards/Vouchers for their own store. Honestly, I prefer the second option because it at least keeps my business local. It also supports the stores where I’d be playing games at, too. Seems like a win-win in my book.

I know that’s not always an option depending on where you live though so no shame in getting a GW virtual voucher.

GW has a gift guide on their website as well…but unless you know exactly what you’re looking for that can be really hit-or-miss. If you’re going to order something from GW or your local Warhammer Store PLEASE don’t go in blind. Ask the gamer you’re buying for the specific stuff they want. “But it will ruin the surprise.” It might, but it’s going to be a whole more useful for them getting what they want/need vs some random kit they have no intention of ever using. Trust me on that one.

If you want to still keep it a surprise, here’s an idea: Take a picture (or pictures) of their army and then go to the store where they buy/play the most. Ask the people behind the counter for help. Show them the picture. Ask for stuff from that army. Then get overwhelmed, have a small mental breakdown in the store, and just get them a gift card.
